NEW CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY MUSIC
“The Romandie, one of Lausanne’s nightlife hotspots, had to close its doors in June 2020 due to water infiltration. Its hall will be rehabilitated with a complete dismantling of its installations in order to carry out a reorganization of the spaces and an increase of its capacity.

These rearrangements have enabled the City to seize the opportunity to equip the premises with a second concert hall. This will provide a new venue for the Association du Salopard, which previously managed the Salle du Bourg.

The latter will occupy the first floor below the Romandie, following the permanent move of the Maison du Vélo, which occupied these premises before the works. This new club will be specialized in new trends, niche music and young people, explains the Municipality.” rts/ats/cab
